MUMBAI: Despite the BJP’s offer of two ministerial berths at the Centre, the Shiv Sena is firm on its demand for the desired ministries in the state first. Sena chief Uddhav Thackeray is in no mood to compromise at the state level even if more berths are given at the Centre.
After the BJP’s offer, the names of Sena MPs Anil Desai and Anadrao Adsul came up in discussions among the party leaders as those who might be proposed for the likely expansion of the Narendra Modi government.
However, leaders also stressed upon prioritising the state issue over expansion at the Centre. Mr Desai said, “I am unaware of any names of Sena leaders sent to Delhi. Only Uddhavji is talking with the BJP and only he would respond on the issue.”
