New Delhi/Mumbai: Throwing the ball in the BJP’s court, Shiv Sena supremo Uddhav Thackeray on Sunday asked the BJP to decide if it wanted the “Hindutva forces” to remain together or wanted the NCP’s support in Maharashtra for its minority government, as it has no problem in sitting in Opposition.

The Shiv Sena also boycotted the swearing-in of the new ministers of the  Modi government.
Earlier in the day, the Sena, whose demand of one more Cabinet berth in the Modi government and key portfolios in Mahrashtra were rejected by the BJP, recalled its leader Anil Desai, who had reached New Delhi Sunday to be inducted into the Modi team.

However, keeping the door open for reconciliation, the Sena also said the BJP should clarify its stand within two days as its minority government in Maharashtra will have to go through a trust vote.
Mr Thackeray also made no announcement on the fate of its lone man in the Modi government, heavy industries minister Anant Geete, amid speculation th-at he would have to resign if the BJP leadership refused to budge on its current stand on Maharashtra.

Mr Thackeray is under pressure from his party cadre to sort out at the earliest whether the Sena would form the government with the BJP or not in Maharashtra.
The Sena and the BJP had snapped ties in Maharashtra over the seat-sharing formula for the Assembly elections. Sources said the Sena chief is under pressure from a big section of his party that wants to completely split from the BJP, which has not only rejected its demand for a deputy CM post but also key ministries like home.
