First the boards, then cabinet: CM Siddaramaiah
Siddu says board appointments will be completed at earliest
Yadgir: While denying that his promise of Cabinet expansion has remained a mirage, Chief Minister Siddaramaiah on Monday stated that the much anticipated exercise would be carried out after the formation of boards and corporations.
Speaking to media persons at the helipad here, Mr Siddaramaiah replied that the process of formation of boards and corporations was underway and the process would be completed at the earliest.
When his attention was drawn to the claim by KPCC president Dr G Parameshwar that he was not a hurdle to cabinet-expansion, Mr Siddaramaiah with an enigmatic grin replied, “yes, there is no hurdle(from him)”.
Replying to a query Mr Siddaramaiah refuted the allegation that the state government had taken a hasty decision in allotting iron ore to the Hospet based MSPL company owned by the Baldota group and recommending the name to the Centre.
“We have followed due rules in making the allotment and recommended the same to the Centre”, he contended.
Later during his speech Mr Siddaramaiah assured senior Congress leader and former Union minister Mallikarjun Kharge that the state government would consider the latter’s demand for bringing Ballari and Koppal districts under the jurisdiction of the high court bench located at Gulbarga.
