Amitabh Bachchan pays tribute to 'Baghban' director Ravi Chopra

Director Ravi Chopra passed away at 68 years of age following a lung ailment

Amitabh Bachchan took to his blog to offer condolences.

Mumbai:  Veteran film and TV director Ravi Chopra, best known for his Amitabh Bachchan starrer family drama Baghbaan and TV series 'Mahabharat', died at the age of 68 following a lung ailment.  Amitabh Bachchan who was close to the director, took to his official blog and wrote, "Ravi Chopra, my dear friend and director and producer passed away suddenly today … my son called to give me the news ..

Filled with grief and sorrow, and unable to find words that could possibly describe what I go through, it is difficult to imagine those days spent together .."
 
Ravi Chopra's directorial debut 'Zameer' featured Big B in and the actor later went to work with him in Baghban, Baabul, Bhootnath and Bhootnath Returns. They clearly shared a special bond. Amitabh Bachchan concluded by writing 'Silence is the best condolence'. 
 
Bachchan is currently shooting in Kolkata for Shoojit Sircar's Piku, wrote the blog from the Grnad Oberoi hotel.
