24 bills to be tabled in next Winter Session
Controversial bills like Insurance and Land reforms will also be pushed
New Delhi: The BJP government is planning to introduce nearly two dozen bills, including legislations to recognise other systems of medicine and to regulate biomedical and health research activities, during the Winter Session of Parliament.
The Union government will also push hard to get controversial bills like insurance and land reforms passed. The Centre is also trying to get some of the crucial Bills pending before both Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha passed during the session beginning November 24, sources said.
Some of the new bills that would be introduced during the session include Biomedical and Health Research Regulation Bill, 2014, Recognition of New Systems of Medicine Bill, 2014, Prasar Bharati Amendment Bill, 2014 and Constitutional Amendment to Panchayati Raj Act, 2014, sources said.
Sources said that the I&B ministry wants to introduce Cable TV Networks Regulation Second Amendment Bill 2014 during the session.
