Deceased family blames civic body for negligence

Hyderabad: A case has been registered against the GHMC for negligence following the death of M. Satyaveni who had drowned in an open overflowing nala on Wednesday.
 
Based on the complaint lodged by the victim’s family, a case for negligence causing death was booked against the GHMC and a probe is on.
 
“We have registered a case under Section 304A  on the GHMC.” said S. Ram Chandra Reddy, Gopalpuram Inspector.
 
Satyaveni, a resident of Shameerpet, was walking towards the bus stop when she fell into the drain that she had not noticed.
