They are one of television’s most popular real-life couples, who met on the sets of ‘Uttaran’ and went on to tie the knot. Of late there has been speculation about the status of their relationship but fans would be glad to know, they are very much together and will soon feature in the upcoming reality show BCL (Box Cricket League). Here’s a chat with the lovely couple Nandish and Rashami, whose choices seem to be as different as chalk and cheese.
Tell us about how you met and decided to marry?
Nandish and Rashami: We met on the sets of ‘Uttaran’ and that’s how we got to know each other .From acquaintances we became co-stars and then friends. Eventually the relationship blossomed and in a year’s time we got married.
Some qualities that you admire in each other and why?
Nandish: Lot of them, hard to hand pick any one in particular. She is ambitious but at the same time she knows how to balance her professional and personal life. She is also helpful by nature, understanding and most importantly is strong headed. Currently we are engrossed with our team ‘The Ahmedabad Express’ and I love the fact that she enjoys sports, cricket being one of her favourites
Rashami : I love his sense of humour and he is very caring, outgoing and would always be there when I need him.
Something you would like to change about each other and why?
Nandish : The only thing that worries me is her driving, because she is always thinking about something or another when she’s driving.
Rashami: He is very impatient and if he takes something in his hands he needs to see that it has to be completed. So he at times doesn’t cut off and brings work home.
The sweetest gesture your partner has done for you?
Nandish: During one of my birthdays she flew my brother down and gift wrapped him . It was a huge box and when I unveiled it I was just taken back by her effort and her gesture. She knows my family means everything to me
Rashami :The day he proposed me in front of some of his friends and that was in the middle of the sea on a yacht.
Any memories from your wedding?
Nandish and Rashami: Well for us it initially didn’t sink in because we had a court marriage and our family and friends were there. So it was like signing a contract and as we stepped out we were like ohh we married and hugged each other
Your idea of a perfect date?
Nandish: Any moment can be a date provided it’s the ideal time that’s spent with your partner which gives you immense happiness that could be a dinner, a film or just being by each others side
Rashami: For me it would be a nice dinner where I get Nandish to cook because he’s a fabulous cook or an unplanned vacation something immensely spontaneous.
