Mumbai: The Board of Control for Cricket in India has convened an Emergency Working Committee meeting in Chennai on Tuesday to discuss issues related to Mudgal Committee report on IPL spot-fixing and betting case.

The Indian cricket board wants to discuss the case with its lawyers, according to reports. The board is likely to decide whether it wants to postpone the Annual General Meeting and election.

The Supreme Court (SC)-appointed Justice Mukul Mudgal committee on Monday declared that BCCI's chief-in-exile N Srinivasan was not involved in betting. His son-in-law Gurunath Meiyappan has been indicted for placing bets during the Indian Premier League's 2013 outing.

On Friday (November 14), after the Supreme Court named BCCI chief-in-exile  Srinivasan alongside his son-in-law Gurunath Meiyappan, IPL COO Sundar Raman, Rajasthan Royals' co-owner Raj Kundra and cricketers Stuart Binny and Owais Shah for misdemeanor, the BCCI had decided to postpone board elections and the AGM.
