Six killed, 10 injured as vehicle falls into gorge in Uttarakhand

Dehradun: Six persons, including two women, were on Sunday killed and ten others injured when a vehicle carrying them fell into a gorge in Vikasnagar area of the district, police said.

The mishap took place when the utility vehicle coming from Kahnaira village to Vikasnagar, skidded before falling into the 300-metre deep gorge, Circle Officer Swapna Kumar Singh said.

Six persons, including the driver of the vehicle, died on the spot, he said, adding, the injured were rushed to a nearby hospital.

All the victims were residents of Kahnaira village and nearby areas.
