Thiruvananthapuram: The CBSE State Kalotsav 2014 hosted by Sarvodaya Central Vidyalaya has been progressing on a very satisfactory note. Unlike usual school fests, there weren’t many complaints about the organisers. Standing on a scenic hillock, Sarvodaya Vidyalaya was a riot of colours and energy. Both the organisers and participants are equally happy with the way the events are turning out.

When asked about the facilities, all that Maria of Ernakulam Sahodaya had to say was “Thumbs up”. The accomodation organised at all the institutions within the Mar Ivanios Vidya Nagar was exemplary. Food and refreshments were lavish, tasty and of good quality. Plenty of stalls were put up for supplying refreshments for the students.

The teachers and the students of the school contributed much to the conduct of the festival. Student volunteers were seen serving food, ushering in visitors and viewers to their seats, managing the crowd at all the 17 stages and doing a commendable job of it. Some students were at the venue till 3 am and then came back at 7 am. The ID cards, certificates and every minor detail for the event were made out by the students and teachers of the school.

Amita, a student volunteer of Sarvodaya said:  “I am both happy and proud to be of service to my school and contribute to the festival in whatever small way.” “This is a great learning experience for our students and we have been preparing for the fest for over a month now. We were optimistic that it would all turn out well.”, said Cherian Panikker, Principal of Sarvodaya Central Vidyalaya.
