We know we can store our personal filesfor free in Google Drive or Microsoft's One Drive (15 GB each) Dropbox (2GB). But don’t be surprised if you save a soft copy of your marriage certificate, and within hours, ads for honeymoon packages pop on your screen. This means Google search  crawlers are sifting through your content all the time,  second guessing your needs. And once you exhaust your free space the subscription rates per GB  can be  challenge.

Indian data and cloud service provider NxtGen, has launched  the first ever personal cloud service --Cliques -- that allows you to store unlimited data on the Cloud , and organize it  the way you like.

You can store files, music, movies, spread sheets – anything you normally store on a physical hard drive. NxtGen promises us that it has no way to see the data we store, much like a bank’s safe deposit locker. Of course, with Cliques, it’s all virtual.

Stuff that you store on Cliques can be accessed on your desktop/laptop,  tablet or Android and iOS phones, and if you do decide to share some of the data with friends or family, you can also do that.

All your data stays on a cloud which is located in India, in case you are worried that your data may be travelling around the world. The storage is also useful for backing up the contacts on your phone.

The Cliques service is priced at Rs. 99 a month or Rs 999 a year, for unlimited storage.  This seems a reasonable  price to pay for securely storing unlimited data, considering you might actually save  on the cost of an external hard drive where  1 TB will set you back Rs 4000.
