Raped when 5, 'distressed' victim shames Essex officers with letter
The boy who raped her was let off after being cautioned
London: Three and a half years have gone by as a family in Essex await justice for their then five-year-old daughter, who was raped by the 12-year-old son of their neighbour.
What is more appalling is that the rapist was left off with a caution as the police officer told him to 'do it with someone your own age next time', according to Daily Mail.
Sara and Peter’s daughter was lured by the 12-year-old into his bedroom. As reported, he closed the door, drew the curtains, showed her to porn on his laptop before raping her in 2011.
The victim, who is now eight, was so disheartened at how she was ignored that she wrote a letter to each of the child abuse officers involved.

While the family spent £40,000 in legal fees, the culprit admitted the rape in a taped interview. He was let off after being cautioned by an police officer: ‘Do it with someone your own age next time.’
