PM Modi, Tony Abbott turn photographers, post pictures on Instagram

Canberra: Prime Minister Modi, who is on a trip to Australia, posted a picture on his Instagram account captioning it "PM Abbott & I turned photographers!"
The photograph showed Modi and Abbott playing and smiling with toddlers. After it was posted on Instagram, the photograph was instantly "liked" by over 8,000 people. Another photograph posted by foreign ministry spokesperson Syed Akbaruddin on twitter showed the prime minister taking a picture of children with a digital camera. Akbaruddin went on to tweet ‘Lucky children, they have Prime Ministers of India & Australia attending to them’.

Narendra Modi, opened his Instagram account last week, and has since have 1,17,246 followers on the online photo and video-sharing site. was seen taking a picture of children using a digital camera in another image posted by Indian foreign ministry spokesperson Syed Akbaruddin. "Lucky children, they have Prime Ministers of India & Australia attending to them," the official tweeted.
PM Modi posted his first picture on the photo and video-sharing site on November 12 during his visit to Myanmar, where he attended the ASEAN-India summit. "Hello World! Great being on Instagram," he said in his message.
64-year-old Narendra Modi is among India's most social media savvy politicians and has almost eight million followers on Twitter.
He has encouraged his ministers and officials to become more tech savvy and open various social media accounts.
