Chetana film festival to showcase budding talents

THRISSUR: The Thrissur-based Chetana Film Institute has organized a festival of diploma films made by the students of the Film and Television Institute of India (FTII), Pune and Satyajit Ray Film and Television Institute, Kolkata.

According to Fr. Benny Benedict, Director Chetana Institute, the festival aims to showcase the professional potential of the students who have passed out from these institutes, and the films reflect the very skill honed by the students, during their course, at the country's premier filmmaking institutes.

A few of these films have already won accolades at various national and international film festivals. The festival is organized in connection with the convocation ceremony of the 12th batch of Chetana Institute at Kerala Sahithya Academy.

The diploma films by this batch have also been screened. The festival will be concluded on Wednesday.
