IFFI to showcase 79 nations’ films

Actor Rajinikanth would be honoured with the special centenary award

Panaji: Bollywood actor Amitabh Bachchan will be inaugurating the 45th edition of the International Film Festival of India here on Thursday, kicking off the 11-day cinematic extravaganza which will screen 178 foreign films. I&B minister Arun Jaitley, MoD Manohar Parrikar and MoS for I&B, Rajyavardhan Rathore will be present. Actor Rajinikanth would be honoured with the special centenary award for his contribution to Indian cinema. The festival will open with Iranian film The President.
