Reese Witherspoon slams 'cruel and rude' comments on Renee Zellweger

Washington: Reese Witherspoon has her pal Renee Zellweger's back and has slammed the remarks regarding her appearance.

According to the Hollywood Reporter, the 38-year-old Oscar winning beauty said that criticizm about Zellweger's face was "cruel and rude and disrespectful" and could not be silent about it as it really bothered her.

Earlier, Zellweger had explained why her she looked different saying that she was "living a different, happy, more fulfilling life, and was thrilled that it showed."

She had added that there was no other truth to it. People did not know her in her 40's or how healthy she was, and she was just taking better care of herself as she aged, and looked different like everybody else did when they got older.
