Crime against women; bodies of two women recovered in Muzaffarnagar
The victim was first raped and then her throat was slit
Muzaffarnagar: Two unidentified bodies of women were recovered from two separate places in the district, police said today.
In the first incident, a headless naked body of 24-year-old girl was found at Pinna village under Kotwali police station in the district yesterday, police said.
Police suspect that the girl was first raped by the miscreants who then slit her throat. The body has been sent for post-mortem and a report is awaited, they said.
In another incident, body of a 30-year-old woman was found at Sillajudi village, police said.
According to police, the slain woman was strangulated to death by a piece of cloth by unidentified miscreants.
The body has been sent for post-mortem after which identity will be established, police said.
All the accused in both these cases are absconding and efforts are on to nab them, police said.
