Bengaluru: It’s full speed ahead for the Kiss of Love campaign, which is likely to be held in the city on November 29. CM Siddaramaiah on Wednesday gave the green signal, but with a rider, saying the campaign should not turn vulgar and “shame Indian culture”.

“Some organisations have sought permission for the Kiss of Love campaign. It should be conducted within the legal framework, and if it gets vulgar, legal action will be taken against the organisers,” the chief minister warned.

However, DCP (Central) Sandeep Patil, who met the organiser, Rachita Taneja, 23, on Wednesday, sought further clarification on the mode of protest. “The letter provided by Ms Taneja has no mention of the way the protest will be held, which is the most controversial aspect.”
