Thieves target parking spaces
KBR has five parking sites and none of them are guarded
Hyderabad: There have an increasing number of thefts at the KBR parking slots. Two weeks ago the car phone charger of C.S Reddy, a close relative of K. Nityananda Reddy was stolen. Many have reported theft of laptops, smart phones, wallets and car accessories, and even broken windows, windshields and scratches on expensive cars.
KBR has five parking sites and none of them are guarded. On a normal day KBR, which opens around 5 am, accommodates close to 4,000 walkers including several club members.
The Banjara hills police in response to a story carried by DC on thefts at KBR stated that “We have our patrol teams around the park from 6 am to 9 am and 4 pm to 7 pm, every day in order to thwart any such attempt.” Ironically the incident on Hyderabad’s top business executive took place during the same time, on Wednesday as the announced patrol timings.
The Banjara Hills police has registered five cases of the theft over the past few months in and around the KBR parking lot.
