Khader Ali was running a plastic bottle scrap unit named M.K Traders in Ali Nagar in Mailard-evpally and was a resident of Langar House.

THRISSUR: A 67-year-old man was killed and his wife was hurt  in what appears to be an armed robbery at Kanimagalam near here on Wednesday night.  Kaithakodan Vincent and his wife Lilli, 59, was the couple subjected to this cruel act.

According to City Police Commissioner Jacob Job, the incident took place on Wednesday at around 9 pm. The culprits gained entry into the house by sounding the calling bell.

When Vincent opened the front door, they rushed in and attacked him and his wife. Reports say there were five men who had masked their faces with scarves. They snatched Lilli’s ornaments and took Rs 50,000 from a locker.  

The neighbors reportedly reached the home and rushed the husband and wife to a private hospital in Thrissur. However, on Thursday morning at around 10.30, Vincent succumbed to his injuries. The police has launched a hunt to nab the culprits.
