Every state should have one
Kochi: The young entrepreneurs at Startup Village, Kochi, have much to cheer about. They have appeared on the radar of the world’s top technology companies and would get assistance from them in launching themselves into the tech world.
The technology business incubator on Friday hosted Google India managing director Rajan Anandan, Facebook country head Kirthiga Reddy, LinkedIn country head Nishant Rao, Microsoft consumer channel group head G.Chakrapani and Internet and Mobile Association of India president Subho Ray.
Anandan said his company provided services worth $25,000 per startup as support and the same would be made available to firms at the Startup Village.” There are plans to offer more in the coming days,” he said.
“This model should be replicated in all other states. The talent, ambition and confidence of these youngsters are impressive.”
According to IAMAI president Ray, his organisation has already initiated a discussion with the Startup Village team and will finalise a support scheme in due course.
Start Up Village CEO Pranav Kumar Suresh presented the incubator’s functioning to the team. He later said the visitors were impressed by the innovative products and ideas of the youngsters at the facility.
