Cops nab gang, seize stolen cash

The Alwal police has detained 10 people for allegedly trying to convert people from other faiths to Christianity. The group was found distributing Christian literature to non-Christians.

Hyderabad: The police nabbed a five member gang involved in robbing a Western Union Money transfer agent in Dabeerpura and recovered Rs 3.6 lakh.

The accused are Ahmed Hussain alias Amer, Mohammed Abdul Samee, Syed Abdul Shoib, Hyder Khan, and Abdullah Bin Mohammed Bayameen.

On October 25, the gang  followed the victim’s bike from Boggulakunta. When they reached Noorkhan Bazar, they overtook the victim's bike and intercepted him.

They sprinkled the mirchi powder into his eyes and attacked him with baseball bats. After injuring the victim, they fled with his bag containing Rs 5 lakh, police said.
