Mullaperiyar water level now 141.5 feet

Thiruvananthapuram: The water level in the Mullaperiyar dam came down to 141.5 feet on Saturday with Tamil Nadu continuing to draw  water from the  dam, which was 2,020 cubic feet  per second.

As the supervisory committee was set to visit the dam on Monday,  Kerala has  given a complaint to the central government against Mr L.A.V. Nathan, chairman of the committee, for not taking action to address the concerns of the people of the state, and not convening a meeting till now.

On Friday at 2 a.m., the water level had reached 142 feet  and the level was maintained till 10 a.m.
