Posh car hits bikes, 1 dead
Driver, suspected to be returning from a party, fled the spot

Hyderabad: One person died and two others were injured when an Audi allegedly hit the two bikes they were riding on Road Number 2 near Sultan-ul-Uloom College early on Sunday.
The driver fled the spot after the accident. The car, which was driven in a rash manner, hit the two bikes on which the victims were riding and then went on to hit the road divider before it came to a halt.
The deceased has been identified as Moghal Shaik Shavali, 29, a resident of Bowenpally. The injured are Malik Singh, and Ravi Anand, both in their late thirties. All three work in the same place. Sources say they were all returning from work on Monday at 12.30 am when the accident took place. Shavali was riding the bike while Mr Singh was riding pillion.
Mr Anand was riding another bike. When the trio reached Sultan-ul-Uloom college, the white Audi crashed into Shavali’s bike and then into Mr Anand’s bike. The car went on to hit the road divider and then stopped.
All the three fell down on the road and sustained injuries. The accused car driver fled the spot abandoning the vehicle there. Passersby rescued the victims Shavali sustained grave injuries and died on the spot, while Mr Singh who was also injured seriously, was shifted to hospital and is being treated. Mr Anand was discharged after first aid.
Sources said that the airbags of the car opened upon collision and protected the occupants. The police has taken the car to the police station and booked a case.
“A case has been booked under relevant sections the IPC and is being investigated. The accused are yet to be traced,” said Banjara Hills SI Vinod Kumar. It was learnt that the car is registered in the name of a private construction firm. It is suspected the driver was accompanied by an unidentified woman who was returning from a party.
