Sydney: Fighting for his life after being hit by a bouncer during Sheffield Shield game on Tuesday, Phil Hughes received solid support and best wishes for a speedy recovery from the cricket fraternity. Even the Indian cricket team - currently playing tour matches - extended their best wishes and support for the fellow Australian, praying for his speedy recovery.

Hughes has undergone a surgery and remains in critical condition at the St Vincent Hospital.

"The touring Indian cricket team extends its best wishes to Phil Hughes and his family at this time. We join with the rest of the cricket community around the world to offer our support and prayers to Phil and his family as well as our friends within Australian Cricket," Indian cricket team released a statement through Cricket Australia.

Australian skipper Michael Clarke and Hughes family members rushed to the hospital after hearing about Hughes' critical condition.

The others took to twitter to support the Australian.
