I prefer not to get involved: Anubhav
Film’s bold posters grabbed eyeballs, Anubhav says that the film isn’t bold
Anubhav Sinha’s Zid has been in the news as it happens to be Priyanka Chopra’s cousin Mannara’s B-Town debut too. The director feels that the attention the film has been receiving has both advantages and disadvantages.
He says, “When you have pedigree, people talk about your film but on the other hand people also have a lot of expectations. Mannara is good but she will take at least 15 years to reach Priyanka’s level. Priyanka has a long body of work behind her, she’s an international star, you can’t compare the two.”
What has also been talked about is the war between Mannara and Shraddha Das, after Shraddha claimed that Mannara injured her intentionally on the sets. “Yes, Shraddha was injured during a scene but I don’t know the details. I prefer not to get involved in such matters. I read in some places that the injury was deliberate but that’s between them.”
The film’s bold posters grabbed eyeballs and Anubhav says he isn’t pretending the film isn’t bold. “As we have always maintained, the film is sexy, sinful and sinister. It has a passionate and intimate relationship and sex scenes were a perquisite. So we are not pretending to be coy about it here.”
There is also a buzz about Sinha planning a sequel to his films Ra.One and Tum Bin. Speaking about it he says, “Bhushan Kumar and I keep discussing the sequel to Tum Bin but honestly I haven’t yet found a love story good enough to be made into a sequel of Tum Bin. The same goes for Ra.One. I would love to make part two but I need a script first.”
