Bengaluru: Within 48 hours after the incident was reported, the police on Tuesday arrested a gang of six men, who allegedly harassed five women sitting in a car on MG Road on Saturday night. The entire incident was caught on camera.
The arrested have been identified as Nagesh, a sales executive in a private firm, Devaraj, a construction worker — both residents of Whitefield, Harish, a cab driver, Kiran, a college student, Satish, a cab driver, and Subramani, who runs a provision store.
The women had complained that as they were seated inside waiting for their driver, the men stared at them, stood around the vehicle and tried to open the doors. The accused confessed to the crime.
