Inquiry into SPF official’s temple entry

M.V.S. Swamy said that they had taken note of the incident

TirupatiThe Tirumala police is probing the episode of a special protection force official entering the temple this month through the bio-metric entry point near Mahadwaram, which is only for restricted personnel. The incident had taken place on November 20.
 
Speaking to mediapersons at Tirumala, additional SP M.V.S. Swamy said that they had taken note of the incident. The concerned SPF official hails from Hyderabad. 
Entry through the bio-metric point near the Mahadwaram is restricted to employees on duty at the Tirumala temple, the priests and the potu workers. 
 
The TTD vigilance wing had ordered a probe into the incident. TTD’s additional chief vigilance and security officer T. Siva Kumar Reddy, has already checked the CCTV footage in connection with the episode and will be submitting a report to higher officials.
 
According to sources, the TTD vigilance wing is likely to initiate disciplinary action against the vigilance guards on duty at the time of the goof-up. They will also be pulled up  for allowing the entry of an unauthorised person through the reserved entry point.
