Medical reports prove Nithyananda’s potency, confirm him as a man
Reports indicate that the controversial godman can indeed perform a sexual act
Bengaluru: The medical report of Nithyananda submitted by the CID to the third Additional Sessions court in Ramnagara on Wednesday claims that the self-styled, controversial godman is indeed a man and the potency reports have no evidence to suggest that he is incapable of performing a sexual act.
“CID officials submitted the final medical report which comprised the medical report of Accused No. 1 Nithyananda, and the medical report document, listing the committee doctors as witnesses,” Public Prosecutor Vadavadagi told Deccan Chronicle.
The report shows the testosterone levels of the godman at 12.50 ng/dl, whereas the normal male of 20 to 49 years should record 249 ng/dl. But this could be due to blockage of testosterone by exogenous sources, the report stated.
It also said that Nithyananda suffers from hypogonadism (reduction or absence of hormone secretion or other physiological activity of the gonads), but does not have any clinical or laboratory findings that point towards pituitary causes that lead to it.
“After the series of tests that were conducted on him on September 8, his blood and urine samples were sent to forensic sciences laboratory to ascertain if there were any drugs involved to induce lower level of testosterones,” it stated.
The godman refused to take the intracavernosal injection on September 8 while undergoing the penile Doppler study, stating that he would suffer a cardiac arrest.
The intracavernosal injection was crucial for the investigating officials to determine whether he could perform a sexual act.
The case at the Ramnagara court was adjourned to December 3 when Nithyananda’s advocates filed an application under section 91 CrPC calling the investigating agency to produce certain documents and materials collected pertaining to the investigation.
The public prosecutor opposed it by way of filing an objection terming it an attempt to inordinately delay the case further.
