Bengaluru: Fissures in the state unit of BJP could derail the agitation against Chief Minister Siddaramaiah for his alleged involvement in denotification of land in Arkavathy layout though central leaders of the party are keen to target the Congress government on charges of corruption. Sources in the BJP said about a dozen leaders, including former CM B.S. Yeddyurappa, former deputy CM R. Ashok, and legislators Krishnappa, Muniraju, S.R. Vishwanath and Nandeesh Reddy, who are in the dock for involvement in land deals, are opposed to the party’s decision to take the denotification issue to its logical end.
