CWC lets off errant warden with warning
They registered a complaint with the district Childline on November 17
Alappuzzha: The District Child Welfare Committee (CWC) let off Kishore, warden of the Nirmalananda Balabhavan, run by the Sri Rama Krishna Ashram in Kayamkulam here, with a warning on Wednesday. He was accused of harassing the inmates.
He was produced by the ashram administration committee before the CWC after 27 inmates from a tribal community in Palakkad voluntarily came out against him. They registered a complaint with the district Childline on November 17.
Joseph, a member of the committee, said the accused was being let off without charges as the administration had assured the panel of no more wrongdoing from him.
“If any further complaint comes out of the same organisation, the committee will take strict action”, he said. The summons was sent after a DC report on November 18 highlighted the issue.
