Reports claimed the Army may use tanks to neutralise the militants
Srinagar: Three Armymen, including a JCO, and four civilians were killed as a group of suspected militants dressed in Army uniforms attacked an Army bunker at Arnia, near the Pakistan border, in J&K on Thursday. Four of the militants were also killed, taking the toll to 11.
Their accomplices, believed to be four to six, have taken up positions inside an abandoned underground bunker near Pindi Char Ka village near the border. The exchange of fire between the two sides was on when reports last came in. Reports claimed the Army may use tanks to neutralise the militants.
The attack comes a day before Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to visit the state to address two BJP rallies in Udhampur and Poonch districts for the upcoming Assembly elections.
