Dimapur: Five-year old Arelong Longkumar from Nagaland has won a million hearts with his amazing talent of playing drums.

Son of Sosang Longkumer and Akokla Imchen from Dimapur, Arenlong can beat drums for any genre of music. He has performed during many events, including the famous Hornbill festival.

He has also performed with Purple Fusion, a famous Naga music band at the 'World Music Day' celebration in Dimapur.

Arenlong was inspired by his musician father, Sosang Longkumer, who runs his own recording studio in Dimapur. Sosang said that his son started drumming when he was only one year old.

"He started playing when he was only one. I took him to Kohima during Hornbill Festival. We went backstage and he got really excited seeing the drummers banging," said Sosang.

Arenlong's mother Akokla said that besides playing, her son likes draw and watch cartoons.

"He likes playing drums. Besides that he likes to draw and watch cartoons," said Akokla.

Arenlong's success is a source of inspiration for other children.
