Anushka Shetty goes the Kamal Haasan way

It’s a known fact that the multi-talented Kamal Haasan and Chiyaan Vikram are two actors in Tamil cinema who go to any extent to fit into the characters they play. But we have never heard of any actress working in similar fashion.

Now, however, Anushka Shetty seems to be following in the footsteps of these heroes. According to T’town sources, Anushka, who is busy with two period flicks, one of them being Rudrama Devi, in which she portrays the title role of a Kakatiya dynasty queen, another, a trilingual, Baahubali, and Rajini’s Lingaa too, has signed yet another movie. It is being directed by ace Raghavendra Rao’s son, Prakash.

This last film will see Anushka in a dual role. According to insiders, in one of the roles she will be double her size, a fat Anushka, weighing more than 100 kg as per the script.

The Deiva Thirumagal actress is one girl who is unstoppable when it comes to trying out new roles.

If it was sword fighting and other valorous acts that she learnt for Rudrama Devi, she shed eight kilos for Lingaa.

Now, a little birdie informs us that she will be putting on a few kilos for her role in Prakash’s flick.

Though the director suggested that they could work it out with a camera or by CG, it was Anushka who insisted that she wanted to look authentic on the screen and has decided to put on the required weight once she completes the assignments she has on hand.
