Kochi: Three persons who allegedly cheated people by offering them jobs at airports in Kochi and Bangalore before deceiving them of lakhs of rupees were arrested from here on Saturday.

The accused were identified as Arun (23), a native of Vazhakamalayil House, Alousius (20), resident of Punnakapadavil House and Robin (24), son of Devassy, Karuvelil House, all hailing from Kotiyur Village in Kannur.

According to police, the youths were arrested from a lodge here based on a tip-off.

“They were arrested from Good Shepherd Tourist Home at MG Road. Earlier a victim Amalnath had lodged a complaint against them. He was asked to come to the station.

The victim identified the accused and a formal case was lodged against them,” police said, adding that several women and men were among the victims of the gang. Further probe is on.
