Chandrasekhar Rao meets officials at his Erravalli farmhouse
Rao unveiled his priorities for Gajwel and sought action plans to achieve the target
Hyderabad: Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao spent a busy Sunday at his farmhouse located in Erravalli on the city’s outskirts holding meetings with senior officials from the CMO and other departments about the development of his constituency Gajwel in Medak district.
The 60-acre farmhouse is located about 70 km from Hyderabad. MLAs from the district, MLCs and other public representatives were called for the meeting.
Mr Rao unveiled his priorities for Gajwel and sought action plans to achieve the target. He said his priority would be to improve the power situation and roads in Gajwel besides taking up restoration of water tanks in all villages.
“I too will offer shramdan for the restoration of tanks in villages. I will take part in restoration works for a full day in one village in every mandal. If the tanks get filled there will be no drought for three years,” Mr Rao said. He urged farmers to use the silt removed from tanks for farming as that will boost yields and reduce the need for fertilisers.
Mr Rao also announced the setting up of cremation grounds named Vaikuntadhamam in all villages. Responding to the CM’s initiative, MLC Paturi Sudhakar Reddy offered Rs 50 lakh from his constituency fund to set up Vaikuntadhamams in all the villages of Gajwel.
