Japan to assist Andhra Pradesh port plan
A special desk would be set up with people who can speak Japanese
Hyderabad: The Visakhapatnam and Krishnapatnam ports will be developed into logistic hubs with the help of Japan. Three more container ports would also be developed.
Mr Naidu said the Japan International Cooperati-on Agency is preparing a project report on potential investment sectors in AP.
Stating that Japanese are wary of India’s red-tapism, he said the state will soon come out with a new industrial policy in which single window clearance would be given to Japanese investors. A special desk would be set up with people who can speak Japanese.
Japan's Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry, he said, signed a MoU with AP to promote investment by companies in AP in urban development, agriculture, food processing and IT and would would also support the development of industrial parks in AP, he added.
Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) has come forward to prepare a project report on industrial potential in AP.
SoftBank has evinced interest in setting up solar power plants with a capacity of 10,000 MW in AP.
