Hyderabad: Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu Naidu on Tuesday said the construction of the capital city will begin in two to three months.
Singapore’s trade and industry minister Iswaran and executive director of Singapore Centre for Liveable Cities Khoo Teng Chye are visiting the state on December 8 and 9 respectively to present their primary master plan of the capital.
It will also be decided whether an Ordinance has to be brought out in connection with the Capital Region Development Authority (CRDA). While the officials have been asked to speed up work for the capital city, Mr Naidu will also meet the farmers from the 17 villages of the capital city area on December 4.
This will be his second meet with the farmers on land pooling and capital city plans. In the earlier meeting, a majority of the farmers said they were in favour of land pooling. But, it was alleged that the farmers, who are opposing land pooling, were not even invited to the meet. This time, however, disagreeing farmers will also be brought, said sources.
