IS sees Indians as weaklings, Kalyan youth Areeb Majeed tells NIA

MUMBAI: The IS prefers Afghans and central Asians for combat jobs and perceives Indians as “weaklings”, according to a revelation made by  Areeb Majeed to NIA interrogators.

Areeb was recounting how he and three others, Aman Tandel, Fahad Shaikh and Fahim Tanki had to convince IS commanders to allow them to fight.

According to Areeb, after they met their local contact at Mosul in Iraq, they were interrogated as the IS initially believed them to be Indian spies.

After still being suspicious of the boys, they were reluctantly enrolled for basic  training. They were then transferred to the roads and civil works, electronics, automobile and economics departments.
