Acclaimed filmmaker Shekhar Kapur is all set to make his directorial debut on TV with a sequel to classic horror film, The Omen, titled Damien. The 68-year-old film director, who directed the Cate Blanchett starrer Elizabeth, will also be producing the first episode of the Fox TV Studios project — which stars Bradley James in the title role, Deadline.com reported.
The sequel, which would consist of six episodes, follows the adult life of Damien Thorn, the alleged Satanic child from the 1976 film, who has now grown up, seemingly unaware of evil forces around him. He now has to face his true destiny of being the Antichrist. Damien is anticipated to air later in 2015.
