Andhra Pradesh CM N Chandrababu Naidu
RajahmundryA bullet proof vehicle carrying Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu and several ministers, MPs, MLAs and MLCs started emitting a lot of smoke while going to the city from the Rajahmundry airport on Wednesday. Security personnel immediately shifted Mr Naidu to a bullet proof Scorpio.

The pipe in the radiator  of the vehicle developed a crack resulting in the smoke billowing out from the engine. All this happened because the car was overloaded, said a source.

Urban SP S. Harikrishna said, “As soon as we noticed the smoke coming out from the engine of the vehicle, we stopped it and shifted the CM to another bullet proof vehicle. The pipe was replaced immediately, but we arranged for substitute cars.”

Mr Naidu was in Rajahmundry on Wednesday  to attend a programme on World Disabled Day in the city.
