Hyderabad: Students against whom police cases had been registered for participating in pro-Telangana agitations are likely to get government jobs. The TRS government is considering a proposal to set aside a 10 per cent quota of jobs to be filled through Telangana Public Service Commission along the lines of the Uttarakhand government.

“Eligible students” for this quota will be identified by verifying the police cases against them across Telangana. Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao is likely to make an announcement to this effect shortly.

The CM aims to appease students with the special quota as majority of them are upset with the TRS government for neglecting them after achieving the Telangana State.
