New Delhi: Chaos prevailed in Parliament for the second consecutive day Wednesday, particularly in the Rajya Sabha, as the united Opposition stuck to its demand for the resignation of Union minister Sadhvi Niranjan Jyoti and also wanted Prime Minister Narendra Modi to express regret over her controversial remarks.

As the Upper House saw several adjournments, the scene in the Lok Sabha too was little different.

The Question Hour was over amidst a din, and as the government carried on with its usual business, amid slogan-shouting, the Opposition members staged a walkout during Zero Hour.

Late on Wednesday evening a police complaint was filed against the Union minister for “making malacious statements and representation for causing disharmony,” police said.
