Roger Federer will open proceedings against Singapore Slammers' Tomas Berdych on Sunday

New Delhi: Roger Federer, who is scheduled to play in the India leg of the International Premier Tennis League, is still to arrive in the capital.After missing the first two rounds in Manila and Singapore, the management confirmed on Friday that the 33-year old will reach Delhi on Saturday. “Roger Federer will play his first match for the Indian Aces on Sunday and will reach Delhi on Saturday night,” confirmed the management on Friday.


After missing the first day’s action, the Swiss great will open the second day’s proceedings against Singapore Slammers’ Tomas Berdych on Sunday.The highlight of the league though will be the heavy-duty clash between Federer and world no. 1 Novak Djokovic of UAE Royals, who are set to clash on Monday. The legendary Pete Sampras will also make his IPTL debut on Sunday, when he faces Patrick Rafter of Slammers.
