Srinagar: A day after 21 people, including eight soldiers and three local policemen, were killed in a series of attacks by militants across the Kashmir Valley, Army Chief Gen. Dalbir Singh Suhag on Saturday visited Srinagar to review the security situation and hold deliberations with top Army commanders combating insurgency in the state.

The Army on Saturday claimed that the food packets recovered from the six gunmen involved in one of the deadliest attacks in many years at the Mohura Army camp bore marks of the Pakistani establishment. “The food packets which were recovered from the encounter site are generally used by the Pakistan Army,” a senior Army officer said.
