Now, Madhya Pradesh keen to ape state Startup model
Representatives of the Andhra Pradesh have visited the Startup Village few months ago
KOCHI: After Andhra Pradesh it was the turn of Madhya Pradesh to emulate the ‘Startup model’ of Kerala for unleashing the energy of young entrepreneurs.
“We are highly impressed by Startup Village’s functioning and are exploring the possibility of setting up a similar facility in Madhya Pradesh.
We plan to seek support from the management and the technical team of Startup Village to devise a strategy to build a similar incubator in Madhya Pradesh,” said M. Selvendran, Managing Director, Madhya Pradesh State Electronics Development Corporation,
A high-level delegation headed by Selvendran held talks with the Startup Village CEO Pranav Kumar Suresh and other members of the management team in the past two days.
The visit of a high-level team from Madhya Pradesh is further recognition for the relevance of the Startup Village.
“It is truly recognition for Startup Village’s efforts over the last 30 months in creating an ecosystem which supports young entrepreneurs.
We are in the process of bringing out a blueprint on creation of innovative ecosystems that can be adopted by states across India,” said Startup Village Chairman Sanjay Vijayakumar.
Representatives of the Andhra Pradesh have visited the Startup Village few months ago and plans to set up a similar facility in the state soon.
