Cyanogen announces OTA upgrade for OnePlus One handsets in India

A new entrant, the OnePlus company launched its first handset - OnePlus One in the Indian market on December 2, 2014. However, OnePlus One has been facing several technical glitches for quite a long time.
After the touchscreen issues, the tech giant had announced that the partnership between Cyanogen and OnePlus has been cancelled. Media reports stated that Cyanogen had only signed up an exclusive deal with Micromax in India.

However, the Cyanogen has officially announced that it will continue to support the OnePlus One Global version handsets in India. Cyanogen stated that the deal cancellation was just a rumoured information that was being circulated all over the web last week.
Cyanogen's official blog further mentioned, ‘The OnePlus One will get OTA firmware updates for all global devices, including global devices for our users in India.’
OnePlus One sports a 5.5-inch (1920 x 1080 pixels) full HD JDI screen with LTPS technology and is powered by a 2.5GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 processor. The onboard 13MP Sony Exmor IMX214 rear camera also comes with six physical lenses with f/2.0 aperture that can capture photos even in low light conditions.
Its 5MP front-facing camera on OnePlus One also offers 80-degree wide viewing angle. Equipped with stereo recording and tri-microphone noise cancelling technology, OnePlus One is fuelled with a rechargeable 3,100mAh Li-Po battery.The OnePlus One habdset is priced at Rs 21,999 via Amazon, for the Indian market.
