Another period film for Farhan
He says that he really enjoys the process of making such films
Mumbai: Currently in news for working on the third installment of the Don series, Farhan Akhtar is also set to work on a film that will be set in the pre-Independence era. He feels that the essence of period films such as Bhaag Milkha Bhaag have a certain connection with the urban Indian youth.
He also enjoys the process of making them. “The research that goes behind making these films can give you an all-time high. As a filmmaker, there is so much homework to do before the camera starts rolling,” he says.
The director-actor says that he wouldn’t mind working on two films simultaneously. “But I can’t direct and act at the same time. I need to space it out,” says Farhan, who has also made a mark in the industry with his crooning skills. He feels being multi-faceted is the requirement of the industry these days. “It’s about time we don’t restrict our roles and responsibilities in the Hindi film industry,” Farhan says.
He reveals that he’ll commence the pre-production and scripting of his other films after he wraps up shooting for Wazir. In Wazir, he shares screen space with Amitabh Bachchan. Those in the know feel that the film will add one more quality product to his portfolio.
According to close sources, Farhan is also working on multiple scripts that will be produced by him.
