Distribution of staff gains momentum
The committee will issue final allocation orders to employees
Hyderabad: The distribution of state cadre employees between Telangana and AP gained momentum.
The Centre appointed Kamalnathan committee had completed the process to distribute the posts in 35 departments so far.
It has been posting details of posts allocated to both the states on the website to enable employees to lodge objections, if any.
Based on the feedback it gets, the committee will issue final allocation orders to employees. Official sources said there have been no major objections so far.
The committee has to now begin the crucial phase of allotting the employees to already identied posts for distribution.
For this, the committee has decided to collect personal details of employees like their date of birth, place of birth, employment number etc.
Besides, ‘options’ given by employees on chossing the state, the committee will take their personal details into consideration while alloting them to a particular state.
“All heads of departments (HoDs) have been directed to collect the personal details of their employees and submit to the committee at the earliest.
The verification of these details will begin when we get those details,” Mr Kamalanathan said.
Despite the committee getting demands from employees assocations of both the states, to distribute employees even at zonal and district cadres, it rejected them on the ground that as per AP Reorganisation Act, 2014, the committee is empowered to distribute only state-cadre posts.
