Telugu film star Venkatesh demolishes illegal sheds
Deputy municipal commissioner Somaraju said, actor was constructing a huge shed
Hyderabad: Telugu film star Venkatesh complied with a notice issued by the GHMC and voluntarily removed illegal constructions on his premises at Road No. 1 in Filmnagar in Jubilee Hills.
The constructions were being carried out without obtaining the mandatory permission from the corporation. GHMC officials had asked the actor to give an explanation within 10 days.
Deputy municipal commissioner Somaraju said that the actor was constructing a huge shed. The corporation informed the actor that the illegal structure would be demolished if he failed to respond to their notice within the stipulated time.
“At the behest of Venkatesh, a few other people who had taken the land from the actor on lease, responded. The violations were erecting huge sheds and remodelling the structure without setback and permissions. However, they removed the construction as per our orders,” said Mr Somaraju.
The actor, who used to stay at his Filmnagar residence, shifted to a new residence in Manikonda a couple of years back. He was looking to develop the old property.
